It all started with Shihan Poly Martin

Shihan Poly Martin started his career in the martial arts at the age of 12.He started with ju-jitsu in a small town of Newark New Jersey. At the age of 14 Shihan his family moved to Florida, were he found a judo teacher and did judo for about a year.

During that same time he started to train in karate Nishi Gogu Ryu in Miami with Frank Ruiz, his needs for more knowledge didn’t stop there. In high school he continues to learn judo all through his high school years as part of a elective subject. After school he also did different style of karate. His search was not enough he needed more and more, he felt that there was more to learn. His life was not fulfilled around that time, so during ages 16 to 21 or 22 years of age judo, karate and tae kwon do, was his main objective. He did not stop there Nisi was not enough for him.
